CAA's 'worst road' list includes 4 New Brunswick entries

New Brunswick roads captured four of the top 10 "worst roads" in the Atlantic region in the annual spring campaign by the Canadian Automobile Association.

New Brunswick roads captured four of the top 10 "worst roads" in the Atlantic region in the annual spring campaign by the Canadian Automobile Association, which is based on onlinevotes by the public.

Charters Settlement Road in Charters Settlement came insecond on the list, behind Gillis Point Road in Washabuck Centre, N.S.

Route 616 in Keswick Ridge was ranked fifth, while Main Street in Tobique First Nation placed eighth.

Route 105 at Mactaquac was rated ninth.

"The Worst Roads campaign gives the public a way to identify the roads in their area that are in particularly rough shape or present dangerous driving conditions," said Gary Howard, the CAA's vice president of communications in Atlantic Canada.

The campaigntook place between March 23 and April 27 and attracted almost 4,000 online votes.
