Regina bike racks draw comparisons to Nazi swastikas

Donated bike racks in Regina are being called into question online.

Reddit users spot infamous Nazi symbol in high school project

For example, ahigh school shop student may look at this Regina bike rack (pictured above)and marvelat thefunctionality of its design.

On the other hand, as Regina Reddit users recently pointed out, some may see something very differentin its shape.

Commenters noted its resemblance of theswastika:an ancient symbolthat was made infamous after it was adopted by AdolfHitler'sNazi Party.

According to the City of Regina,three of the bike racks were donatedby a Reginahigh school15 years ago.

"The high school had a program that was teaching concrete and these were built as part of the program," a city spokespersontold CBC News.
