The five titles vying for the 2018 ScotiabankGiller Prize will be announced at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. You can watch the announcement live on CBCBooks' Facebook page.

The jury for this year's prize is comprised ofCanadian writers KamalAl-Solaylee and Heather O'Neill, Toronto International Film Festival executive Maxine Bailey,English novelist Philip Hensher and American writer John Freeman.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 19, 2018.
