Monique Gray Smith

Monique Gray Smith is amixed-heritage Cree, Lakotaand Scottish author who often writes and speaks about the resilience of Indigenous communities in Canada. Her book Speaking Our Truthseeks to inform young Canadians of the legacy ofthe residential school system inCanada and the impact it continues to have on Survivors and their families.

Speaking Our Truth was a finalist for the 2018 TD Canadian Children's Literature Award.
