At noon Monday all open fires will be permitted within the Kamloops Fire Centre. Originally the prohibition was to stay in place until October 31st however the recent cold wet weather has lowered the fire risk.

To show that homeopathic drugs have no real effect, members of the Kamloops Centre for Rational Thought say they will take massive overdoses of the drugs tuesday. In a press release they claim homeopathic medicines are placebo's which are entirely useless in curing or preventing disease.

Hundreds of people have gathered on the lawns of the legislature in Victoria. They are protesting the Enbridge plan to build a transprovincial pipeline from Bruderheim, Alberta to Kitimat, on the BC coast.

RCMP corporal Dan Moskaluk will provide more details Monday afternoon on the suspicious death being investigated on the Tk'emlups reserve. Police were called to a home on East Shuswap road Saturday night and found a woman's body. One man was taken into police custody. So far police have said the death may be linked to a domestic dispute, but the cause of the woman's death has yet to be released
