When Armchair Mayor Mel Rothenburger retired he likely expected quiet days, enjoying the sounds of nature, not bulldozers ripping apart his front lawn.

Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain pipeline goes right through his land just north of Westsyde.

Public consultations for the project's expansion picked up this week in our area, but they are far less heated than that other pipeline proposed in northern BC.
