Montral-born soprano, Frdricka Petit-Homme is celebrated for the warmth and strength of her full tone. She has distinguished herself as a dynamic and engaging performer in roles such as Annie in Gershwins Porgy and Bess (Opra de Montral), the Third Witness in LArchange (Chants Libres), the Nurse in Concordias Rise Pandemic Opera, and Marian Anderson in Backstage at Carnegie Hall (Black Theatre Workshop).

Her musical prowess and collaborative spirit have provided her with opportunities to perform with the citys premier ensembles, notably lOrchestre symphonique de Montral, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montral, and lOpra de Montral under renowned conductors including Paul McCreesh, Herv Niquet, Wayne Marshall, and Kent Nagano.

Frdricka holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance and a Master of Music degree in conducting both from the Schulich School of Music of McGill University. She is passionate about music education and has taught in various educational institutions such as the Schulich School of Music, and primary schools of the Commission scolaire Marguerite Bourgeoys. 

She has prepared choruses for lOrchestre symphonique de Laval, and collaborated with their artistic directors: Jean-Franois Rivest and Alain Trudel. 

A believer in creating a space for vocalists to participate in music making and community building, Frdricka provided artistic leadership to the Rivers Edge Community Choir and begins her doctoral studies in Music Education at the Schulich School of Music in September 2021.

She is scheduled to perform with les Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Musique 3 Femmes, and Ensemble Paramirabo in the 2021-2022 season.
