Rohit Joseph is the host of Vibin CBC British Columbias province-wide music program airing every Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

Prior to his new role, Rohit served as an accomplished associate producer/technician at CBC Victoria since 2020. He began his CBC journey in 2017, working as a casual AP for On The Coast, The Early Edition, and News Network.

Rohits passion for journalism began at the University of British Columbia, where he hosted a music show and two other programs that sparked his interest to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. In addition to playing in a Vancouver-based band for several years, his love for music was heavily influenced by his familys musical interests and his own musical experiences from violin to guitar to beatboxing.

He has won multiple journalism awards including a RTDNA in Best Podcast for CBC British Columbias Beaches and Mountains and a Jack Webster award for CBC Victorias Healthcare coverage, A Crisis in Care: The Family Doctor Shortage in Greater Victoria.

Through moving from India, Dubai to Vancouver and travelling across Europe and Asia, Rohit has the utmost appreciation for several cultures, music and local communities and he is incredibly excited about bringing to air his eclectic music taste and stories from local musicians.
