Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson tie the knot in B.C.

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds married actress Scarlett Johansson in a quiet ceremony this weekend outside of Vancouver, according to People magazine.

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds married actress Scarlett Johansson in a quiet ceremony this weekend outside of Vancouver, according to media reports.

Representatives for both actors confirmed the nuptials.

The couple, who announced their engagement in May, got hitched in a remote wilderness lodge, according to People magazine.

A small number of guests included Johansson's mother and her brother.

Johansson, 23, began dating Reynolds, 31, last year shortly after his split from singer Alanis Morissette. It marks the first marriage for both.

Reynolds, who hails from Vancouver, starred on the TV sitcom Two Guys, AGirl and a Pizza Placefrom 1998 to 2001.He has appeared in various films including Van Wilder, Blade: Trinity and Definitely Maybe.

He is set to star in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Fireflies in the Garden with Julia Roberts, as well as The Proposal with Sandra Bullock.

Johansson, who was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in 2006's Lost in Translation, is currently onscreen in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

"We're just enjoying our time," the actress said in August.

"We're just recently ... engaged. So, you know, we're just taking it easy. And no big plan yet."
