Toronto teen invited to Lady Gaga anti-bullying launch

A Toronto teen and anti-bullying advocate will join pop superstar Lady Gaga on Wednesday as she launches her Born This Way Foundation at Harvard University.

Jacques St. Pierre, a 17-year-old student at Etobicoke School for the Arts, will attend the official launch of the anti-bullying foundation, which Lady Gaga and her mother started in 2011.

St. Pierre was handpicked by Lady Gaga after he contacted her for an anti-bullying rally at his school, where he is student council president.She replied with a video, which wasplayed ata school assemblyin November.

St. Pierre has alsofounded his own anti-bullyingproject, called "I will make it better."

"I'm proud of the fact that we're really making a difference," St. Pierre said. "And I think I never believed or thought thatit would become this huge and people would really start to listen. People are starting to open their eyes and pay attention to the issues surrounding bullying, and I think it's fantastic thatwe can be the ones to really lead that change and help make it better for kids all over the world."

There will be a number of workshops and a keynote speech from Oprah Winfrey, St. Pierre said.
