Maple Leaf Foods to cut more than 400 jobs in move to streamline

Maple Leaf Foods is cutting more than 400salaried jobs in a move to trim costs and streamline theorganization.

The meat processing company says the majority of the cutswillbe completed before the end of the year, with the remainder in 2016.

The cuts come as the company nears the end of a massiverestructuring plan.

The company has been cutting costs by combining some of itsplants and closing others as well as reducing its number of
distribution centres.

Maple Leaf says it employs about12,000 people across Canada.
