Wildfire near Nazko estimated knocked from 1,000 hectares down to 300

The BC Wildfire Service has knocked what was a 1,000 hectare fire burning near Nazko, a community approximately 90 kilometres west of Quesnel, down to 300 hectares.

The BC Wildfire Service is currently fighting what was a 1,000 hectarefire burning near Nazko,a community approximately90 kilometres west of Quesnel.

Now though, the fire is down to 300 hectares as firefighters and heavy equipment work to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
