CBC Vancouver explores B.C.'s thriving vegan scene

Growing Vegan is a new multiplatform CBC Vancouver series that delves into an innovative community and explores how the lifestyle and business of veganism thrives in B.C.

Being vegan is not just a diet, it's a lifestyle. And, as it turns out, big business. Have you tried vegan cheese yet? Or bought a vegan leather handbag? You might've heard the buzz about cauliflower buffalo wings you can find them in one of Vancouver's many vegan eateries.

According to research from Dalhousie University, B.C. has more vegans per capita than any other province in Canada.

It raises the question: why is B.C. the vegan headquarters of Canada?
