Inquest into 3 mental health deaths postponed

The BC Coroners Service inquest into the deaths of three people who died days after leaving an Abbotsford mental health facility has been delayed.

A coroner's inquest into the deaths of three people who died days after leaving an Abbotsfordmental health facility has been delayed.

The inquest was scheduled to begin May 16, 2016, but the BC Coroners Service says some key witnesses were not available and newinformation was recently discovered.

Brian DavidGeisheimer, 30, died in Mission on Dec. 28, 2014.

MeanwhileSebastienPavitAbdi, 19, ofAbbotsford, died at his family home on April 26, 2015 andSarah Louise Charles, 41, died the same day near herAbbotsfordapartment building.

BarbaraMcLintock, a spokesperson for the coroners service, told CBC in 2015 former patients did not know one another and that their deaths were not homicides.

A new date for the inquest has not been set.
