Manhunt underway after 2 men shot in Sooke, B.C.

Police are hunting for multiple suspects in a drive-by shooting that left two men injured Tuesday night in Sooke on Vancouver Island.

Police arehunting for multiplesuspects in a drive-by shooting that left two men injured Tuesday nightin Sooke onVancouver Island.

Police have also identified area residentJoshua Lafleur,25 in connection with the incident. Lafleuris described as six feet tall, 190 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

They sayhe should beconsidered armed and dangerous and are cautioning people not to approach him but to call 911 if they see him.

"It's a targeted shooting by rival groups known to each other and known by the police," said S/Sgt. Jeff McArthur of the Sooke RCMP.

The two victims, both Sooke residents in their 20s, were sent to hospital.

One of the menwas shot in the arm and wasable to go homeWednesday. The other man was shot in the torso and remains in hospital in stable condition.

Sooke mayor MajaTaitsaidthe shooting came as a shock to the community.

"In my lifetime I don't recall any time there wasnews of this happening in our community," she said.

Police aresearching for a grey four-door 2003 Kia Magentis with Saskatchewan licence plate 404 JZB.

The car was reported stolen in Langford.
