Man arrested in Sooke shooting, 2 suspects remain at large

One man has been arrested and a vehicle has been seized in connection with a drive-by shooting on Vancouver Island that left two men injured.

The vehicle used in the drive-by shooting was seized Wednesday

Police say 25-year-old Joshua Lafleur, the suspected gunman in a Vancouver Island shooting, is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

One man has been arrested and a vehicle has been seized in connection with a drive-by shooting on Vancouver Island that left two men injured.

RCMP said Thursday that a man believed to be one of three suspects associated with the shooting in Sooke was arrested during a vehicle stop Wednesday.

In a separate incident Wednesday, the vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting was seized in Langford.

Police efforts are focused on finding 25-year-old Joshua Lafleur, believed to be the gunman and considered armed and dangerous.

Lafleuris described as six feet tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

He is wanted on several outstanding warrantsunrelated to Tuesday's shooting.

A third suspect has been identifiedbut remains at large.

Police believe the shooting was gang-related, with both groups known to police and to each other.
