Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in May 2023 Vancouver stabbing

Lloyd Peter Robinson has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the fatal stabbing of Jonathan James Bulloch.

A person has been arrested in relation to the homicide of a man near the intersection of Bute Street and Davie Street in Vancouver on May 27, 2023.

Lloyd Peter Robinson has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the fatal stabbing of Jonathan James Bulloch.

Robinson, 40, was arrested at a house in Kelowna's Glenmoreneighbourhood. Police say he remains in custody.

On thenight of May 27, officers responded to reports that a man had been stabbed near the intersection of Davie and Bute streets just before 10 p.m.

Police say the manwas taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries. They identified him a few days later as Bulloch, who was 43.

Vancouver police say they spent more than eight months analyzing evidence, with Kelowna RCMP and other agencies assisting in the arrest itself.

They did not immediately provide a motive for the stabbing.
