2015 Tim Hortons Brier: By the numbers

History will be made at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier, and CBC's Devin Heroux will be there to take in all the action.

Follow @Devin_Heroux for the latest scores, stats, player profiles and stories from the Brier Patch

History will be made at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier.

For the first time ever Team Canada will participate in the Canadian mens curling championship. The Calgary-based team of third Pat Simmons, second Carter Rycroft and lead Nolan Thiessen won the Brier last year in Kamloops to earn the right to become the first Team Canada in Brier history as the defending champion.

After skip Kevin Koe left the team, the remaining three recruited fellow Calgarian John Morris to skip the team.

So now Team Canada, lead by Morris, will go against Albertas Koe and his team from Calgary.

Pay attention to which team fans at the Saddledome cheer for. Team Alberta and Team Canada (remember both from Calgary) play against each other Tuesday night.Mark it on your calendar.

This is the seventh time Calgary is hosting the Brier and fourth time the Brier is being hosted at the Saddledome. I'll be down at the 'Dome filing a blog throughout the tournament.

Here are some Brier by the numbers to get you ready.
