Arrest made after Calgary police dust off 2008 cold case

An arrest has been made in the 11-year-old shooting death of Allan Richard Teather, police said one day after they re-upped the case.

Teather, 22 at the time, was shot in his vehicle, which was parked at a condo building in the 100 block of Village Heights S.W. on Jan. 29, 2008, in an underground parkade.

Calgary police asked onWednesday for any tips in the case, which they believe was targeted and had a financial motivation.

One man was arrested Thursday and first-degree charges are pending, police said Thursday afternoon.
