One man has been charged and warrants are out for another in connection with an allegedbeating at the Remand Centre that left the victim with permanent brain injury.

Calgary police are looking for 21-year-old Kei Hu Mang, whose whereabouts are unknown. (Calgary Police Service)

The attack happenedlast August when 24-year-old Denis Telyakov was in the Remand Centre on charges of uttering threatscharges that were later dropped.

Calgary police sayhe was hospitalized for several months andsuffered permanent injuries as a result of the assault.

Telayakov's familysays they will never be able to cover the medical expenses.

Calgary police arrested Justin Brett Decoux, a former cellmate of the alleged victim,andchargedhim with aggravated assault.

A warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Kei Hu Mang, who was also a cellmate.His whereabouts are unknown.

Mang is described as Asian, five feet eight inches tall, 138 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
