This week felt a bit more likewinter in Calgary, astemperatures dipped below 17C and ushered in an abrupt halt to the fairly mild conditions southern Alberta hadbeen enjoying so far this season.

The blast of Arctic air alsomade for some wonderful photo opportunities across the region. Calgarians awoke to a spectacular dusting of rime ice that crystallized overnight, outlining tree branches and needles in shimmering white.

Undeterred by the chill, some took advantage of the opportunity to head outdoors and play in the fresh snow, with their pets and their cameras.
