One wrong step across the knife-edged ridge of Mount Lady MacDonald and Mark Harrison would have plunged about 1,300 metres.

"I like the idea of pushing my comfort zone, challenging myself," the daredevil said. "I consider overcoming a fear or an obstacle kind of as a rewarding thing."

On a recent visit to Canmore, Alta., Harrison filmed himself with a selfie stick as he dashed along the mountain's summit.

"I grew up doing sports like wakeboarding, skateboarding, kiteboarding high-energy balance sports so to me it didn't feel all that crazy," Harrison said.

Harrison'sbrother, Thomas, crossed the narrow ridge with him, but he did it in a much safer way on all fours.

"[Thomas] has a kid coming in October, so he's recently turned responsible," Harrison said. "But if he didn't have a kid coming he'd be doing the same thing with me and he knows that."

This isn't the first time this Canadian daredevil has risked his life and documented it.

He garnered nearly a million YouTube hits when he crossed theMount Hua Shan skywalk in China.
