B.C. man 2nd to face murder charge in death of Calgarian whose remains discovered by firefighters

Alberta RCMP have charged a second person with murder in the death of a Calgary man whose remains were found by firefighters west of the city earlier this year.

Alberta RCMP have charged a second person with murder in the death of a Calgary man whose remains were found by firefighters west of the city earlier this year.

Vernon, B.C., resident Tyler Griffiths, 37, is charged withfirst-degree murder in the death of Kyle Schuiling, 33.

The announcement of the latest development in the homicide investigation was made on Friday, 10 days after Griffiths was arrested and charged.

Police say Schulling was killed between April 1 and April 3, 2024.

On the morning of April 3, members of the Tsuut'ina Nation Fire Department were fighting a grass fire in Rocky View County.

A month after the victim's remains were discovered, Christopher Stack, 39, was charged with first-degree murder.

Griffiths is due in court in Calgary next week.
