Man fatally stabbed at party in northwest Calgary

Calgary Police are investigating after a party turned deadly early Sunday morning.

Police were called about a stabbing in the 4000 block of 19th Street N.W. in the community of Collingwood at about 1:30 a.m. MT.

When officers arrived they found a seriously injured 18-year-old man.

He wastaken to hospital with critical injuries and later died,officials said.

Homicide detectives have a person of interest incustody and investigatorsare questioning several people who were at the party.

An autopsy is scheduled forTuesday. The victim's identity will be released after that, police said.
