Calgary police probe 7th homicide of 2016 in Marlborough Park

A man is dead following what police are calling a serious assault in Marlborough Park in northeast Calgary.

Police were called to the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E. at about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday andfound a badly injured man in his 20s.

Tyler Sanderson was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police are not releasing the cause of death at this time, but havedeclared it Calgary's seventh homicide of 2016.

It's not believed the attack was random and investigators are looking for suspects.
