Police believe homicide suspect getting help hiding in Calgary

Calgary Police are asking for assistance finding Gerald Frommelt, 37, who is accused of murdering his 23-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Lynn Scheible.

Calgary Police are asking for help finding Gerald Frommelt, 37, who is accused of killing his 23-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Lynn Scheible.

On April 7, Scheible was shot in the northeast Calgary community of Temple. She died shortly after.

Frommelt, a former Hells Angels associate, is wanted on aCanada-wide warrantfor second-degree murder.

In a statement on Thursday, police said they thinkFrommelt is still in the Calgary area.

"We have reason to believe that people may be assisting Frommeltwith evading police."

Police saidif someone isfound helping Frommelt hide, they could be criminally liable.

He is describedas six feet two inches tall and around 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his neck, including a tattoo of a straightedge razor.

Past parole documents that CBC News obtained from the Parole Board of Canada show he hasa history of violence against women and was once ordered to report all relationships with females by the board.

According to police, Frommeltis considered to be dangerous. They say anyone who spots him or has information on his location is asked to contact the police non-emergency line, 403-266-1234.
