Canadian film director Atom Egoyan is in town to present his most recent film at the Calgary International Film Festival.

Atom Egoyan hopes Calgarians get a lasting impression from his new movie Remember, a dark thriller getting mixedreviews since its premiere in Toronto.

In an interview on the Homestretch, the famous Canadiandirector told host Doug Dirks thatcritics don'treally matter anymore.

"My last movie, The Captive,had uniformlyterrible reviews and it did better then any films I've ever released in this country," he said pointing to sucessful advertising throughword of mouth.

Canadian director Atom Egoyan is screening his latest film, "Remember," at the Calgary International Film Festival. He spoke with Doug Dirks about working with Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau.

The film stars two legendary actors: Christopher Plummeras Zevand Martin Landau as Max.

The quest brings him tomany small villages in the U.S. and Canada.

The film premiers at the Calgary International Film Festival Tuesday, withEgoyanin attendance at the Globe Cinema at 7:30 p.m. MT.There's an encore presentationat Eau Claire on Sunday, Oct.4,at 2p.m.
