Shaw slashes roughly 200 positions, mostly in Calgary

Calgary-based Shaw has cut dozens of positions from its workforceaspart of a senior management realignment previously announced, CBC News has learned.

The layoffs will affect less than 200 positions and are organization-wide, although most of them will occur in Calgary.

Some of the cuts are effective immediately with the rest happening by the end of May.

No one from the company would provide any additional comment Wednesday.
