Calgary investigators say the two people killed in what's likely a gang-relatedshooting did not have any previous run-ins with police.

Someone walked into a northeast restaurant early Sunday and opened fire specifically at one table, police said.

A man and a woman in their mid-20s were killed andtwomen were wounded.

"The two people that were killed are not known to police, which complicates why this happened, why they're targeted, why they were killed in the way they were,"Kevin Brookwell, a spokesman forthe Calgary Police Service, saidMonday.

"So it's not like we have [people known] to our organization or other organizations, so that adds another challenge for our investigators to try to find out motive and who's responsible for this."

Police saidthey're looking for two suspects. On Sunday, investigators said early evidencewasconsistent with a targeted shooting that involves gangs.

The male victim was born and raised in Calgary, while the woman was a resident of the city,Brookwell said.

Autopsies were completedMonday afternoon, but the victims' namesare being withheld untilnext-of-kin have been contacted.
