Snowstorm ends Calgary's streak of spring-like weather on St. Patrick's Day

So much for the luck of the Irish. The return of winter weather Thursday morning brought Calgarys streak of spring-like conditions to an end, just in time for St. Patricks Day celebrations.

Poor visibility reported on several routes in and around the city for morning commute

The return of winter weather Thursday morning broughtCalgary's streak of spring-like conditions to an end, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

Blowing snowreduced visibility and made for aslow commute on several major routes in andaround the city as a spring storm movedaround the area.

Calgary Transit tweeted that the snowy conditions causeddelays on most bus routes.

EMS officials said they responded to about 10 collisions by 7 a.m., most of them without injuries.
