Edmonton's Kinnaird Ravine will be canvas for massive mural

The Kinnaird Ravine in northeast Edmonton will soon become a canvas for dozens of local artists.

The river valley trail will soon be home to more than 60 murals

Tomorrow morning Kinnaird Ravine, in northeast Edmonton, becomes one of the largest displays of public art in the city.

The Kinnaird Ravine will soon behome toone of the largest public art installations Edmonton has seen in years.

OnSaturday morning, more than 60 murals will go up along the retaining walls that line the ravine's gravel trail.

Formerlyknown as Rat Creek Ravine, the trail runs from the river valley up to the Stadium LRT station.

Sebastian Berrera, co-ordinator of the KinnArt Ravine Project, joined Edmonton AM radio host Mark Connolly on Friday morning to talk about the inspiration behind exhibit.

Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to take part. Work on the murals will begin at 10:00 a.m.
