Man shot dead in northwest Edmonton identified

The man shot to death last Friday while sitting in a pickup truck has been identified as Phu Phan, 30.

The man shot to deathlast Fridaywhile sitting in a pickup truck has been identified as 30-year-old PhuPhan.

Autopsy results confirm Phandied of multiple gunshot wounds.

He was shot while sitting in a pickup truck parked outside a northwest Edmonton home just after 7:30 a.m.

He died on scene despite efforts by paramedics to revive him.

Thetruck was parked near171st Avenue and 126th Street.

Witnesses told police they sawa small blue SUV or minivan leaving the scene.

Phan isthe Edmonton's 35thhomicide of 2016.
