Police warn of Peeping Tom in Edmonton's northeast

Foot patrol officers from the EPS Northeast Division say they received two similar reports within a 10 block radium of 40th Street and 114th Avenue in November.

Two incidents have been reported near 40th Street and 114th Avenue

Edmonton police are investigating after two Peeping Tom sightings in the citys northeast.

Foot patrol officers from the EPS Northeast Division say they received two similar reports within a 10 block radius of 40th Street and 114th Avenue in November.

In both cases, a male suspect was spotted peering into bedroom windows between 9 and 11 p.m. In both cases, the suspect fled after residents inside the homes heard noises.

The suspect is described as between 20 and 30years old, with an average build and wearing dark clothing. He has been seen on foot and on a bicycle.

This is concerning and disturbing, because we do not know what the suspects motives are, said Const. Blumhagen in a release issued Friday.

We want people to take the appropriate precautions, and to report any similar incidents to us as soon as possible.

Police are warning residents in the area to make sure their homes are secure and well-lit, and that blinds are closed at night. Anyone who notices any suspicious activity is asked to contact police.
