Police searching for suspect who robbed Grimsby bank then fled in stolen pickup

Police say the suspect is white, between 30 and 35 years old and stands about 5'9" tall. He has short, dark, receding hair and was last seen wearing dark pants and a hooded sweatshirt with the word "RAPTORS" in red letters on the front.

Niagara regional police are searching for a suspect who used a stolen pickup to complete a crime spree that included a bank robbery.

Police say the man arrived at an EssoStation on Regional Road 20 in West Lincoln around 3 p.m. Monday in a silver GMCCanyon that had been stolen in Peel Region.

After he fueled up the truck, police say, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the gas station attendant while demanding cash.

The gas station employee was able to fight off the man, who fled in the stolen truck.

Second robbery attempt successful

The suspect next showed up at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce on Main Street in Grimsbyaround 4:20 p.m. and demanded money. He was able to grab an unknown amount of cash and again fled in the stolen vehicle.

Police say the suspect is white, between 30 and 35 years old, and stands about 5'9" tall. He has short, dark, receding hair and was last seen wearing dark pants anda hooded sweatshirt with the word "RAPTORS" in red letters on the front.
