Positive COVID-19 test at Fortinos on Dundurn Street

Fortinos says an employee at itsDundurnStreet storehas tested positive for COVID-19.

Beverly Wright, Fortinos marketing director, told CBC News the store initiated its "incident plan" after learning of the positive test result on Friday. The store underwent a deep cleaning that night.

Wright said the employee hasn't been in the building since May 3.

In an email to customers, Fortinos wrote it also instructed any employees who may have been exposedto stay home and self-isolate.

The store reopened Saturday morning.

Hamilton public health will not confirm any cases related to businesses or places of residence, making it unclear if this case is included in the total count.
