The cross-examination of the ex-girlfriend of one of the two men accused of killing Tim Bosma is underway at the hands of Nadir Sachak, the lawyer for Dellen Millard.

MarlenaMeneses, 22, the former girlfriend of Mark Smich, told court last week that Smichtold her Millard shot and killed Bosma. That testimony is being challenged by Sachak.

He is asking Meneses about various statements she made to police, and conversations she had with Millard and Smich after Bosma disappeared.

The 32-year-old father of one, who lived in the suburban Ancaster area of Hamilton, vanished on May 6, 2013, after taking two men on a test drive of a pickup truck he was trying to sell.

Smich, 28, ofOakville, Ont., and Millard, 30, of Toronto, are charged with first-degree murder in Bosma's slaying. Both men have pleaded not guilty.

Meneses was pressed on what she had learned from Smich about the Bosma killing.

"I didn't really want to know," she told the jury through tears.

Meneses testified she hasn't spoken to Smich since he was taken into custody."The day he got arrested, I just figured why even bother still being with him," she said.

Meneses was arrested at the same time, but was never charged.
