Tow truck towed after driver clocked doing 130 km/h in a 60 zone: police

The red 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was passing another vehicle at an "astonishing rate of speed," stated police in a media release.

It turns out even tow trucks can get towed.

Hamilton police say a tow truck was clocked travelling 130 km/h in a 60 km/h zone around 2 p.m. Wednesday while officers were watching for speedersnear the corner of First Road East and Mud Street East.

The red2008 Chevrolet Silverado was passing another vehicle at an "astonishing rate of speed," stated police in a media release.

Police say the truck was stopped and the 33-year-old driver from Stoney Creek wascharged with speeding and stunt driving.

His licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for the same amount of time.
