Murder trial wraps up in Kamloops

The first degree murder trial of 59 year old Peter Beckettis wrapping up at the Kamloops Courthouse. The former New Zealand politician is charged in the death of his Canadian wife,Laura- Letts Beckett.She drowned in Upper Arrow Lake, near Revelstoke, in the summer of 2010.She was boating with her husband Peter at the time.His trial, before a jury, began in January.Tim Petrukisa reporter with Kamloops This Week has been covering the trial.
