Drone dropping 'unknown substance' onto cars, houses in Ayr, police warn

Police are warning residents in Ayr, Ont., that a drone has been causing mischief and is engaging in harassing behaviour.

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) said in a release sent out Wednesday that the investigation into the drone began last Friday when multiple calls came infor "reports of a drone engaging in harassing behaviour and causing property damage" in the area of Stanley Street and Main Street.

"On several occasions, a drone, believed to be a first-person view (FPV) drone, has been operated between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., flying over residential homes and dropping an unknown substance onto houses, vehicles, and property," the release said.
