Fake Oktoberfest ticket sweep leads to two arrests

A man and a woman have been arrested after Waterloo Regional Police say the pair were sellingphoney Oktoberfest tickets on social media websites.

Investigators say they seized a total of 30 fake tickets for Oktoberfest celebrations at theConcordia Clubin Kitchener, which they estimate cost the alleged victims a total of$1,000.

Police say the fake tickets were being advertised on social media websites for a discount.

A 41-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested along with a 31-year-old Kitchenerwoman. Both face an array of fraud charges, as well as breach of probation.
