Guelph man dies after motorcycle collides with truck

A 52-year-old Guelph man has died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a truck in the city's north end Thursday afternoon.

A 52-year-old Guelph man is dead after a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Guelph's north end Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to Regal Road and Curtis Drive around 4:50 p.m. Thursday. Regal Road is a dead end street off Woodlawn Road and at the intersection, there are stop signs on Regal Road to stop north-south traffic.

The motorcyclist was driving eastbound on Curtis Drive and the truck was driving southbound on Regal Road when the two vehicles collided.

The 52-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.

The 43-year-old Guelph man driving the truck was not injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
