The Woolwich Expressions in Fibre Traditions Fest gets underway this weekend, the K-W Titans go up against the London Lightning in the finals and baseball is back with both the Kitchener Panthers and Guelph Royals hosting home games.

It's a long weekend and the weather looks like it will be a mixed bag of clouds, sunshine, rain and warm temperatures.

There's a yoga hike Saturday morning at the Huron Natural Area in Kitchener or take a guided nature walk at Natchez Woods, also in Kitchener. Both are drop-in programs run by the city.

Artists will be seen throughout Elora this weekend for the Elora en Plein Air festival, where people take inspiration from the village and the natural features in and around the area. There's a Quick Paint event in Fergus on Saturday and the show and sale takes place Sunday at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

The annual heritage plant sale is on at the Ken Seiling Region of Waterloo Museum in Kitchener Saturday morning. There are lots of options when it comes to flowers and vegetables.

Spectrum, Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space, is holding a Pride pickleball fundraiser at RIM Park in Waterloo on Saturday. Registration is required.

There's a mini maker market at TheMuseum on Sunday, which is also the same day TheMuseum anticipates its 1.5 millionth guest will walk through the doors. That special guest will win a prize package.

The national Rope Skipping Canada championships are also in Waterloo all weekend at Wilfrid Laurier University.

In Cambridge, there's a Halal Food Festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening in the Gaslight District. More than 15 food trucks are expected and there will be live entertainment.

Green Light Arts is marking 10 years with a production of Late Company at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts in downtown Kitchener. There are multiple performances this weekend.

WEFT stands for Woolwich Expressions in Fibre Traditions and this 10-day festival celebrates all things fibre arts, including quilts, clothing and artwork.

There are workshops and speakers, a tea room, vendors' market and guild showcase.

K-W Titans

Friday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.

Kitchener Memorial Auditorium

The K-W Titans basketball team are in the finals for the Basketball Super League and the first two games of the series against the London Lightning are on home court.

Baseball is back

Saturday at 1 p.m. in Guelph

Sunday at 2 p.m. in Kitchener

The Guelph Royals travel to Hamilton Friday night in Intercounty Baseball League action, then will have their home opener at Hastings Stadium Saturday afternoon against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Kitchener Panthers are set to take the field at Jack Couch Park on Sunday with a game against the Guelph Royals.

Waterloo Juggling Festival

All weekend with a public show Saturday at 6 p.m.

University of Waterloo

The juggling club at the University of Waterloo will hold a weekend of workshops, competitions and events as it marks 30 years of its juggling festival.

A public performance called Cascade: A Juggling Cabaret Show will be held Saturday in the Theatre of the Arts building. Tickets required.

New Dundee Community Fireworks

Sunday 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

New Dundee Community Centre

The annual long weekend celebration in New Dundee is back. Doors open at 4 p.m. with a midway, food trucks, beer garden, vendors and live entertainment, including performances from Doug Clayfield Trio, Alex Gage and The Pilot Light, Paige Rutledge and Loose Cannon.

Will also note, there is a community garage sale happening on Monday in town at individual homes (not the park).
