Man missing in Wilmot near Nith river

Waterloo Regional Police say a 24-year-old man is missing near Wilmot, and they're concerned for his safety in an area of "fast-moving and rising water levels."

Waterloo Regional Police say a 24-year-old man is missing near Wilmot, and they're concerned for his safety in an area of "fast-moving andrising water levels."

Andreas Pfenning, 24, from Wilmot Township went hunting Monday and hasn't been seen since, police said.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area of Christner Road" along the Nith river, police said in a tweet.

And they advised any volunteers who might want to aid in the search to"exercise extreme caution in area" due to the uncertain condition of the river.
