How to watch the royal wedding on Saturday in K-W

Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle are set to get married Saturday morning at 7 a.m. ET. You could watch it at home or you could attend a local event.

All the pomp and pageantry will be on full display just in time for breakfast

Grab your big hats and fascinators the royal wedding between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle is Saturday morning at 7 a.m. ET and there are a few ways you can celebrate beyond watching in your jammies on your couch.

Watch it on the silver screen

Princess Cinemas in Waterloo is hosting a free event so you can watch the royal wedding on the big screen. Doors open at 6 a.m. and the wedding gets underway at 7 a.m. Refreshments and baked goods will be available for sale.

You can also see the wedding in the theatre at the Kitchener Public Library. You're welcome to come as you are or dress up for the event.

Watch it with a crowd

You could head to Homewood Suites in north Waterloo to enjoy breakfast, including scones with Devon cream, fruit, omelettes and bacon. (What's a royal wedding without bacon?)

If you want to celebrate after watching from home, the New Dundee Emporium is hosting a special luncheon.

While donating blood

The wedding will be on the telly at the blood donor clinics in Waterloo and Guelph, which open at 8 a.m. Once the event is over, donors will get to enjoy some English tea and biscuits.

At home

Of course, the most comfortable way to watch the Prince and Meghan's big day may just be at home with a bowl of cereal (or some freshly baked crumpets). Coverage on CBC TV and CBC News Network starts at 4 a.m. Join host Adrienne Arsenault for everything you want to know that morning.
