Regional Coun. Tom Galloway won't seek reappointment as police board chair

Kitchener regional Coun. Tom Galloway has announced he won't seek reappointment as chair of the police board, after serving in the role for 17 years.

Galloway has served on police board since 2000 and as chair since 2001

Kitchener regional Coun. Tom Galloway will not seek to be reappointed as chair of the Waterloo Regional Police Services board.

Galloway has served on the board for 18 yearsand has been chair for 17 years.

He made the announcement during a police services board meeting Wednesday.

Galloway was first elected to regional council in 1994 and was reelected in the Oct. 22 municipal election.

He has also served as thechair of the administration and finance committee from 1997 to2014 and is currently the chair of the planning and works committee.
