Overnight, Environment and Climate Change Canada says there will be little relief, with temperatures not expected to go below 20 C, feeling like 30 C.

The hot and humid air may also bring deteriorating air quality, the warning said.

Public health warns extreme heat can affect anyone, but in particular people at higher risk include:

  • Older adults aged 65 and over.
  • Infants and young children.
  • People who work outside.
  • People taking part in outdoor sports and activities.
