One of two male suspects sought in what investigators say was a targetedhome invasion and shooting in London over the weekend has been arrested in the Greater Toronto Area, police said Wednesday.

Police allege two masked, armed men entered a home along Meadowgate Boulevard in the city's southeast just after midnight on Saturday.

Four people were in the home at the time, and it's alleged one woman was forcibly confined and assaulted, while a male in the home was shot at by one of the suspects, but was not struck.

The gunfire alerted a neighbour, who then contacted police.

A second male in the home was allegedly assaulted with a handgun by the other suspect, police said, adding two residents were hospitalized for injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.

Police say they searched the area and determined some items were stolen from the home, but did not specify what was taken. A 29-year-old male suspect was identified by investigators, they said.

He was arrested in Oshawa on Tuesday morning on ninecharges including aggravated assault, uttering threats, forcible confinement, and break, enter and commit an indictable offence. He was due in court on Wednesday, police said.

A second male has yet to be identified and remains at large, police said. A suspect description can be found on the London police website.
