2 arrested in shooting death of Winnipeg man

Two people are charged with first-degree murder in connection to the shooting death of a man at a Winnipeg restaurant.

William Edward Moar, 24, wasshot in Johnny Gs on Main Street just before 2 a.m. on Feb. 15.

Akech Dut Ajak, 22,was arrested in Winnipeg on Wednesday.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested inCalgaryand transported back to Winnipeg.

Both aredetained in policecustody.

Police havenot saidifthe shooting was gang related.

Moar was knownto police, having been charged in 2009 with aggravated assault along with four others following a vicious beating of 19-year-old man in a West Broadway parking lot.

At the time, Moar was connected to the B-Side street gang.
