Ambulance involved in crash on Maryland Street near Misericordia hospital: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say traffic was diverted on Maryland Street in the West Broadway neighbourhood after an ambulance was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Tuesday.

Winnipeg police say traffic was diverted on Maryland Street in the West Broadway neighbourhood after an ambulance was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said they were called to the corner of the southbound street at Westminster Avenue, a block away from theMisericordia Health Centre, at about 11:15 a.m.

AWinnipeg Fire Paramedic Service spokesperson saidno paramedics were hurt, buttwo people were transported to hospital as a precaution. The paramedicsweren't transporting a patient in the ambulance at the time of the crash, the spokesperson said.

A number of police cruisers were seen in the area of the crash, along withWinnipeg Fire Paramedic Service vehicles.
