Movies, music on tap this summer in Assiniboine Park

If your summer schedule hasn't yet filled up,Assiniboine Park is offering a slew of suggestions and they're all free.

The annual Summer Entertainment Seriesfeatures more than30 events, including musical acts at the Lyric Theatre, jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, and the extremely popular Movies in the Park.

The series, whichruns fromJune through August, offers performances by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Bed of Roses (a Bon Jovi tribute band), the Ron Paley Big Band, country singer Leanne Pearson, the Winnipeg Pops Orchestra andjazz performances by Walle Larsson, Greg Lowe and more.

During August, visitors settle in for big-screen movies such asJurassic World, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Inside Out, Spectre, The Good Dinosaur and Kung Fu Panda 3.
